A Peculiar SocietyEdit
The general human population of the Northlands continues on with some bizzare approximation of their lives as if nothing has changed since their enslavement and liberation from The Scourge. Though baffling, some even appear more content and indifferent to the hardships of the world around them. Farmers tend to their fields, heedless of dead crops. Merchants carry goods to neighboring towns or horrified still-living neighboring nations. None of these citizens are mindless, just happy to continue living.
Some scholars have theorized that the removal of the primal fear of death from humans might have some profound psychological effect on the Northland populace that has yet been documented.
